As a Policy Analyst at HomeBase, Natalie Metzger-Smit supports technical assistance and training to aid states and communities in their work to end homelessness. She conducts research and produces reports, surveys, and other tools, and helps to organize and facilitate convenings and trainings. Ms. Metzger-Smit has 10 years of experience working with nonprofits, local governments and state and federal agencies on homeless, housing and poverty issues. She is an expert in coordinating strategic community resources and forging critical community partnerships to develop policy solutions and achieve program goals and has expertise in youth homelessness and runaway youth. She is currently supporting the San Francisco in developing a coordinated community response to prevent and end youth homelessness through the Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP). Ms. Metzger-Smit received her MA from the University of Oregon.
