Matt Olsson
Directing Attorney
Matt provides CoC Program-related support to several major Bay Area communities, including the County of Santa Clara, County of Marin, and City and County of San Francisco. He regularly conducts trainings on CoC requirements and program operation, supports program- and system-level evaluation, facilitates strategic planning processes, and provides support on program design and implementation. He has demonstrated expertise in regulatory interpretation, performance monitoring and evaluation, facilitation of data-driven decision-making, best practices in effective grant-writing, and establishing linkages between systems of care. He serves as a liaison between a broad spectrum of key stakeholders, including federal, state, and local government officials, as well as non-governmental organizations and constituents. He has presented at several major national conferences on housing and homelessness, including the biannual National Human Services Data Consortium (NHSDC) and annual Housing California Conferences. A native of Massachusetts, he holds a JD from The George Washington University Law School, and a BA in political science from Union College in Schenectady, New York. He is licensed to practice law in the State of California and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
