Nick Mitchell
Sr. Policy Analyst II
As a Sr. Policy Analyst at Homebase, Nick works with communities across the country to
provide technical assistance and support in evaluating and addressing needs and goals
according to evidence-based best practices. Currently, Nick is working primarily with
Cities and States on ESG-CV rehousing strategies. Before joining Homebase, Nick
worked for a community-based nonprofit focusing on the financing, development and
long-term operations of supportive housing projects. Prior to this, Nick worked in city
government administering ESG and HOME programs and working on affordable
housing research and strategies. Nick is a native of Central Illinois, served as a
Construction Electrician in the US Navy, and holds a Master of Urban Planning degree
and an MA in Religion from the University of Illinois.
