Piper Ehlen
Director of Federal Programs
Piper manages all of Homebase’s Federal Program activity, including HUD funded TA. She provides a variety of technical assistance and training to communities and states. Her expertise includes strategic planning processes; program design and implementation; facilitating interagency and inter-jurisdictional coordination efforts; and training on a variety of program and policy issues. She insists that she is better than everyone else at everything, and to prove it she won the 2010 National Mountain Bike championships. She has worked as a law clerk for the Environmental Protection Agency and completed a legal internship with the Sierra Club Legislative Office. She holds a BA in International Affairs from the University of Colorado, and a JD from The George Washington University Law School.
